McClusky & Co Public Relations was awarded three of the four awards presented at the 2011 Public Relations Institute Australia (PRIA) South Australian Awards of Excellence, on Thursday, September 22.

PRIA awarded McClusky & Co the South Australian State Award for its Public Affairs campaign for ‘Dignity for Chronic Pain Sufferers’, which will progress to the national awards to be presented in Sydney in October.

McClusky & Co worked with Dignity for Chronic Pain Sufferers (DFPS) on a campaign to raise public awareness of the difficulties that chronic pain patients face in South Australia.

Since September 2010, McClusky & Co has achieved extensive and positive media exposure and support for DFPS.

“We are thrilled that the amount of work we've put into the DFPS campaign has been recognised at a State level. It was an honour to be a part of such a worthy cause, achieving vital and positive media exposure for South Australian chronic pain sufferers and their families,” Account Director, Patrick Anderson said.

McClusky & Co’s work with the Bundaleer Festival was commended in the Arts category. With assistance from McClusky & Co, the Bundaleer Festival received wide and overwhelmingly positive media coverage across a broad range of outlets, helping to attract an increase in attendees, cash flow and funding for the next festival.

The agency was also commended for its work with Harris Real Estate (HRE). Engaged to create, manage and implement the HRE media strategy, McClusky & Co ensured HRE stood out from the crowd with a highly visible marketing strategy coupled with extensive media coverage.

McClusky & Co Company Principal, Leigh McClusky said she was overwhelmed by the fantastic results.

“2011 has been an exceptional and successful year for McClusky & Co, proving that our determination to deliver great results for clients pays dividends," she said.
