In order to ensure valid measurements are identified and gathered, we use the Media Relations Ratings Points System (MRP) as endorsed by the Canadian Institute of Public Relations after three years of intensive research. The Public Relations Institute of Australia is currently discussing the potential for making this system an industry standard tool.
We value MRP more highly than the often lauded ‘advertising equivalent’ methodology as the system reflects a more accurate assessment of the ‘tone’ of media coverage and the success of meeting key criteria as discussed and agreed with our clients at the beginning of our engagement.
